St Asaph Country House // KITCHEN & UTILITY

Our clients had already created something special with this ambitious house remodel, opening up the interior to bring in an abundance of natural light and wonderful views of the garden.

When it came to the kitchen, they had plenty of ideas about how they wanted the new space to look, feel and work for them. Our job was to take that inspiration and find a way to make it all come together.

A central structural column presented an interesting challenge, but rather than working against it, we used it to help shape the design. A U-shaped layout created several practical areas around the island, allowing the kitchen to work from both sides, with a curved raised breakfast bar providing a relaxed place to sit and connect with the space.

Separate areas were then designed around the way the family uses the kitchen, including dedicated spaces for cooking and a beverage station. The generous hob area creates a strong focal point, while still feeling connected to the rest of the room.

The same thinking continues into the large utility and boot room. Using the same work surface creates a natural flow from the kitchen, while a contrasting furniture colour gives this hardworking space its own identity.

This project is a great example of what we believe bespoke design should be. Our clients brought their personality, ideas and ambitions for their home. We brought the design experience, craftsmanship and technical knowledge needed to turn those ideas into a space that really works.

The result isn't simply a Marshalls of Conwy kitchen. It's a kitchen created together, designed around the home and the people who live there.
